26,442. Schiffers, A. Nov. 15. Pile, raising and dressing.-Fabrics are carried in one machine over a gig-barrel, a brushing-cylinder, and a felted drum. The fabric 1 passes over guide-rollers 2, 3 to a gig-barrel 4, round which it is guided by tension-rollers 5 and guide-rollers 6. Thence it passes over a guideroller 7 to the brushing-cylinder 8 the brushes 11 of which are cleaned by a clearer 12. After the fabric has been directed around the cylinders 8 by rollers 9, 10, its other side is acted on by a brush 14, and it then passes round a felted cylinder 13 to guide-rollers 17, 18, from which it may be again passed through the machine. The tension rollers 5, 9, 15 may be adjustable.
