Abstract

24,295. Willis, P. R. J., [Halladay, J. J.]. Oct. 22. Rattling of windows and doors, preventing.-Relates to devices of the type in which rollers are pressed against the sash &c. by springs. The roller 13 is mounted in a holder 9, the sides 11 of which are provided with pairs of lugs 12, which slide on upstanding portion 16 of the base 2 of the casing 1. The casing is open at one side, and is secured to the frame by screws passing through lugs 7 or holes 17 in the casing. The rollers 13 are pressed against the sash &c. by bow springs 8. In the modification shown in Figs. 6 and 7, the axis of the roller can be arranged at right-angles to, or parallel with, the length of the casing. The holder is square in section ; and the lower ends 18 of the sides 11 are narrowed to engage recesses 20 in the slot 15 in the casing through which the roller projects.
