22,101. Flannery, M. J. Sept. 28. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Catches, spring.-A fastener for sliding or hinged doors, applicable also to box lids, dumping cart, railway or other vans, &c., comprises parts 1, 2 attachable by screws and formed from blanks which are slit into tongues and bent up. The part 1 has folded - over bevelled catches 7 and a slotted turned-back piece 6. The part 2 has a base 9 with turnedup lugs 10, on which is pivoted a lever 13 having bevelled catches 15, an eye-piece 17, and internal and external handles. The catches 15, under the influence of a spring 22, snap over the catches 7, stops 12 limiting the sliding of the part 1. A padlock bow may be passed through the parts 6, 17 for further security; or these parts may be dispensed with, as may also the external handle.
