Fixed - chamber apparatus ; c o n - trolling passage of air; valve systems. - The measuring- chamber m, arranged at the base of a receptacle a, is provided with an inlet valve f, an outlet slidevalve q, and an air valve s, of which the valves f, q are attached to a lever p, while the valve s is mounted on a second lever r, which engages the first lever. The arrangement of valves is such that when operated by the spindle j, the valve f is opened, and the valves q, s are closed and the measuring - chamber thereupon fills. When the spindle j is released, the valve f is closed by the spring g, and the valves q, s are opened to empty the chamber m. The valve q may move in guides, and may be pressed to its seat by a pressure strip u. In a modification, the spring g is arranged between the valve f and a plate fixed in the receptacle a so as to keep the valve f normally closed.
