20,978. Geduld, C. Sept. 14. I m i t a t i o n cigars, cigarettes, and the like. -An imitation of a lighted cigarette consists of a tube b of brown-paper or other tobacco - coloured substance, surrounded by a cigarette paper a and burnt or discoloured at one end, where it is also adapted to receive a rounded-off and projecting end portion c of fire-coloured metallic paper or foil. The end portion is gummed in position and is partly covered with ash or asbestos, thus allowing the fire-coloured paper to shine through in places. Where it is attached to the tube the card part may be crumpled, so that smoke may be puffed through from the mouth. The invention may also be applied to cigars or cheroots.
