Spindle apparatus.- In ring spindles in which the t h r e a d passes through a runner and over the edge of a disk rotatably secured to the spindle, the arms h of the runner are bent downwards so as to be close to the spindle and the disk, and the thread eyes i are shaped so that the thread is gradually deflected. The disk may be provided with a concentric cavity so that the eyes are in the same plane as the edge of the disk, thus allowing the thread to run upon the main surface of the disk.
