Mattresses.-In woven-wire or like elastic mattresses, the elastic material is secured to rocking rails 5, attached to the side rails 4 by bolts, links, or the like 9, 10, by means of which the tension of the mattress can be adjusted. The mattress may have a rocking rail at one end only, and a fixed rail at the other end. The end thrust is partly taken by a shoulder on the rocking rail.
