In the arrangement shown in Fig. 2, the upper and lower sashes I open upwards and downwards respectively, and are balanced against each other by racks J, K on the lower and upper sashes respectively, a n d pinions H on the frame. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 3264/66, 2594/68, 1131/83, 8373/84, 4588/86, 16,973/88, 13,289/89, 4781/95; 6949/96, 12,035/97, and 22,810/05.
