Jib cranes.- Comprises a supporting-device for a jib crane suspended from a runway for transport, when unloaded, so that loads can be handled at some distance to the side of the runway. Figs. 1 and 2 show the crane in elevation and plan respectively. An upright A, suspended from a trolly B on a runway, carries a jib crane D, which may be of the type described in Specification 815/08, or of any ordinary construction. Two sets of rods F, G are pivoted to the upright A, and the rods of each set are connected together at their outer ends where an adjustable foot K is carried. The jib of the crane used may be movable in either a vertical or horizontal plane, the former case being shown in Figs. 1 and 2. In a modification, the rods F are pivoted at their centres so that the rods F, G and the crane jib may be folded up close to the upright A for convenience in travelling
