Winding - machines. - The guide - bars of a winding-machine are arranged so that they may be actuated from the usual cam-groove or its equivalent, directly, if the full traverse is required, or through mechanism by which the traverse may be varied. The bracket b, which carries the guide-bars, is secured to a pivoted lever e which carries a bowl f actuated by the cam-groove, the pivotal point of the lever being adjustable, or the bracket b may be connected directly with the cam-groove, as shown in the right-hand side of Fig. 1.
