7785. Barr, A., and Stroud, W. June 30, 1908. Range - finders. - The objectives, eyepiece, prism, &c. are supported in a tubular inner frame D strengthened at the corners by tubes D<2>, D<4>, &c., which may be cut away as desired and act as guides or supports for projecting pins &c. on the optical parts. The end reflectors B are mounted on holders L<4> having partial spheres L<3> engaging eccentricallymounted bushings L<2> by means of which accurate setting can be obtained before the holders are finally fixed in position. The deflecting- prism is adjusted by a rack and pinion actuated from the exterior of the instrument.
