6837. Aubrey, F. March 22. Envelopes.-The closing-flap 2 of an envelope is provided with an integral tongue 11 bent back upon the line 11<1> and gummed at its base to the closing-flap 2. The tongue is gummed on its under surface so that it will adhere to the inside of the envelope when inserted in the slit 7 in the bottom and side flaps 3, 4, 5, and is gummed on its outer surface 15 so that it will adhere to the outside of the bottom flap.
