Piston packing.-A flexible packing-ring d for the pistons of vacuum-brake cylinders and the like is formed with a groove h on one or both faces, at the line of flexion, to provide a hinge for the operative part d<2> of the ring. The main portion of the ring may consist of a soft rubber composition, and the part d<2> of rubber and graphite.
