Abstract

1423. Lake, H. W., [Amerikanische Tubular- Separatoren Werke Ges.]. Jan. 20. Ball bearings for spinning-machine spindles. The upper bearing consists of a ring a, having a tubular extension d by which it is mounted in the rail, and a ring b on the spindle, and between these rings the balls c are arranged. A cap e, provided with a lubricating-hole closed by a spring cover f, is fixed to the ring a by screws g. In the footstep bearing, the balls k are arranged between the step h and an interchangeable bearing-bush i secured to the spindle ; the bush bears horizontally on the balls so that there is no lateral pressure. In . a modification, the interchangeable bush bears obliquely on the balls. A protecting-cap l may be used. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 3667/00, 13,198/05, 5985/06, 1008/08, and 11,676/08, [all in Class 120, Spinning]. ,
