Abstract

190,828. Todd, A. K. Oct. 5, 1921. Hooks, spring, safety, slip, and closed.-Relates to a device for securing together the ends of chains, strips, and the like, particularly adapted for securing a wristlet to a watch, and comprising a strip of spring sheet metal bent round at the ends 2, 6 to overlap. The end 2 is bent as shown in the figure and rounded at 4 so as to touch the back 3. The end 6 is bent so as to lie close to the end 2 and is rounded as at 8 to facilitate the insertion of a loop between the ends 2 and 6. The rounded end 4 prevents the inserted loop from travelling from one end 5 of the device to the other end 1 until it is snapped past it.
