Slabs. - Trusses for reinforcing concrete slabs are formed by slitting and expanding bars having the sections shown in Figs. 4 and 7. The central web of the bar shown in Fig. 4 is slit longitudinally and diagonally and expanded in the common plane as shown in Fig. 2, and the outer webs are slitted at the ends only, the end portions being opened out also in the common plane and parallel to the central flanges or bulbs and then bent up into the vertical plane to form a double truss, as shown in Fig. 1. Fig. 8 represents the section at 8-8, Fig. 1. The integral connecting-members may be inclined or vertical.
