Reinforced concrete.-A rigid reinforcement is formed from three or more parallel bars connected by webs and located one above another, the inner bars and webs being severed at intervals and bent up to form shear members m which connect the lower tension bars with the upper tension bars occurring over a support. In a modification, two bars are connected by a web, the upper and smaller bar and web being severed at intervals and turned up to form inclined shear members. The bars may be of any shape in section.
