Abstract

21,963. Marshall, D. Oct. 17. No Patent granted (Sealingfee not paid). Plug cocks; casings.-An inflating-valve for tyres, more especially those having two or more tubes one within another, is characterized by a perforated and grooved collar A surrounding the head C' of the valve body C and situated between the walls of the two tubes T<1>, T<2>. The end of the stem K, of the usual inflating-valve J is situated inside the head C<1> and is formed as a rotary plug valve M provided with a groove M<1> whereby one of two passages F<1>, F<2> leading into the respective tubes is closed while the other passage is open for the inflation of a tube. To inflate the other tube, the stem K and the valve M are turned half-way round. To secure the valve in the adjusted positions, projections 0 on the stem K engage the valve body C. According to the Provisional Specification, the valve M may be a sliding valve.
