Abstract

20,242. Birkett, T. M. Sept. 26. Mitering.-A device for mitering mouldings &c. comprises a central block 1, provided with an adjustable pivoted saw-guide 6 and having hinged flaps 2, 3, which act as rests for the work ; the device may be folded into a small space when not in use. The saw-guide comprises a pillar 6 having a slot 10 to receive the saw, and an enlarged graduated head 8. The guide may be clamped in position by means of a clamping-screw 13 and a washer 16 bearing on the milled head of the guide, or by a hand or spring-actuated bolt entering notches in the head 8. Recesses 22 in the workrests receive the projectiog parts of the head of the saw-guide when the device is folded.
