Ornamenting glass surfaces.-A composition for making the lines of imitation leaded glass consists of a mixture of China-clay, glass flux, and black enamel, a little gum arabic and water being added to enable the mixture to adhere to the glass until fired or baked. In making coloured glass, the stains can be applied before or after the lining, and either such stains are chosen as fuse at the same temperature as the mixture used in the lines, or, the composition of the mixture for the lines is so adjusted that it will fuse at the same temperature as the stains.
