16,144. Greeves, J. & T. M., and Eves, R. V. July 30. Toothed gearing.-An electromotor shaft B is coupled to the driving-shaft D of a spinning-frame or other textile machine by means of a pinion C gearing with an internally toothed gear E on the driving-shaft. To provide for the changing of the pinions, the motor is mounted so as to be adjustable transversely to the motor shaft upon an auxiliary plate K, which is adjustable parallel to the motor shaft upon the base-plate H. The gear E is formed with a flange e<1> so as to hold sufficient oil to allow the pinion C to run practically in oil. To reduce noise the teeth of the gear E or of the pinion C may be formed of raw hide or fibre.
