Circular knitting-machines; knitted fabrics.-A plating-yarn 12 is caused to show on both sides of the fabric and conceal the body yarn 13 by being fed above the projecting ends of radial knocking- over bits 8 sliding in a tricked dial, the yarn 13 being fed to the needles in the usual way. The fabric obtained is similar, as to the front side, to ordinary plated work, while the back surface is covered with elongated loops of plating-yarn d. The bits 8 are projected at the feeding point, where they ride over a cam 11 ; they are subsequently retracted to release the elongated loops of plating yarn. According to the Provisional Specification, the invention may be applied to straight-bar machines.
