Fastenings, railway-carriage door.-The turnbolt d is turned into the fastening position, when the door is closed, by means of a spring plunger i, lccated in the door frame and adapted to press against the rack h in cooperation with a toothed segment g on the bolt. The plunger i is retained in the withdrawn position, when the door is open, by a spring detent k, and the detent k is itself locked in the engaging position by a second catch n, which is released by the door in closing before the detent k is disengaged from the plunger.
