Sand - papering. - A sandpapering - machine is provided with one or more travelling belts, one of which may be a vertical spindle belt, and one or more vertical spindle drums or bobbins. In the machine shown in Fig. 2, belts c<2>, d<2> are arranged one each side of the table b. A vertical drum e, mounted on a vertical spindle e<1>, is reciprocated by a crank r and connecting-rod s driven by a belt from the main driving-shaft. The drum e is driven through a pulley n from another pulley on the main driving-shaft.
