Felloes or rims.-The outer side of the rim for a pneumatic tyre consists of a fixed half A, and a movable half A<1> hinged to it and adapted to swing outwards so that the tyre may be removed. The movable part A', and in some cases the fixed part A, may be bolted as at E, E' to the felloe. According to the Provisional Specification, the bolts may be replaced by angular plates gripping both sides of the rim and secured in any manner, and the lower face of the movable part may slope, and when in position, bear on a corresponding face on the base of the rim portion of the wheel.
