26,562. Gledhill, A. H. Dec. 2. Tills.-In order to prevent fraudulent entry on the receipt strip of cash-registering tills of the kind in which the receipt and record strips are moved at rightangles to each other, the printing-roller 2 and issuing-roller 3 are fitted with teeth and rubber bands 5, 4, which nip the strip so as to tear it if pulled in order to facilitate entry in the wrong column. The ring of teeth may be at both ends or in the middle of the rollers, and recesses may be provided to engage the teeth instead of rubber rings. A plate 7 fitted close to the roller prevents the strip from adhering thereto.
