Abstract

23,071. Miller, C. A., and Miller, F. J. Oct. 19. Velocipede lamps; reflectors.-A cycle lamp is constructed with a back plate b, Figs. 2 and 6, to which the anti-vibration device is pivoted, and which is connected to the lamp body by means of a flange a<1> which is spun over a central opening in the plate b so as to hold the plate against a shoulder a<2> on the lamp. By this means a detachable or removable reflector d can be fitted in the back of the lamp. The oil tank is hinged to the back of the lamp, and the catch consists of a single strip of metal f, which is pivoted to the wire frame g<1> of the front of the lamp by being bent around the frame and turned to form a loop f<1>, which engages a projection h on the part e. The part h may consist of a metal strip preferably bent downwards, and an actuating-lip f<2> is formed on the catch f. Air is admitted to the back of the lamp through pierced openings j, and a strip k of metal with a turned-down front k<1> and a rear opening k<2> directs the air in the direction of the arrows in Fig. 6. The plate b is preferably integral with bearing- sleeves b<1> for the bracket c, the sleeves being formed by rolling-over the edges of the plate b.
