22,578. Moodie, A. Oct. 14. Turbines. - Relates to applications of wind motors for driving dynamos carried by motor-cars, ships, or like moving bodies, or mounted on the roofs of buildings. In the application to a motorcar shown in Fig. 3, the pressure of wind in the contracted aperture 5 drives a fan 1 carried on the shaft of a dynamo or dynamos. In another form, shown in Figs 7 and 8, applied to the ventilation of a ship, the fan 1 is constructed with several separate sets or divisions, a fly-wheel or belt pulley 4 being provided, by means of which the dynamo is driven. Several modifications with similar contracted passages are shown.
