Abstract

8242. Mossner, J. April 5. Self-driving weight motors.-Weights, attached to cords wound over drums a, in falling drive the shaft f through wheel trains c and pulleys d. This shaft, through a countershaft drives a pump hand thereby supplies the vessel i with compressed air, which operates the engine k by means of which the shaft l is driven. Power is taken off the pulley m, and a fly-wheel n, which may have a band brake, regulates the motion. The weights are wound up by pulleys on the shaft l.
