Abstract

Metallic fabrics.-A metallic fabric for reinforcing concrete structures is formed by making longitudinal slits in a flat bar and then bending the edges of the slits outwards in opposite directions so as to form flanges 3, Fig. 2, of varying width, the slits 2 assuming an elliptical form ; several bars are then woven together by passing them through the slits and tying them. The bars may be twisted, as shown in Fig. 3.
