Exercising - apparatus. - M u s c l eexercising appliances, of the kind which is attached to doors &c., and in which elastic cords run over pulleys, are provided with a rigid cross-bar a, Figs. 1 and 2, carrying pulleys c for cords f provided with handles g, so that the pull is more direct than that obtained when the cords emanate from the same point or points nearer together. The bar a is fixed to a door &c. by cords d. The cords of the exerciser can be detached from the bar and used with the hand-grips as a chest expander. The bar may be adjustable in length or the pulleys on it. Fig. 4 shows a modified form with additional elastic cords h. The cords d, Fig. 2, may be extended outwards at right-angles to the cord f.
