Locks, key &c.-In a Yale night latch, the bolt a is withdrawn by the key by means of a runner plate h which is of yoke form, the arms h<1> extending on either side of the lock follower e and being provided with projections h<2> with which the follower is adapted to engage. By giving the key a complete turn in a clockwise direction, the follower e can be used to shoot the runner plate h to lock the bolt against withdrawal. The lock follower is journaled in the plate f secured in the lock case, and the parts are duplicated to allow of the lock being fitted to right and left handed doors.
