Abstract
13,232. Prokop, J. June 7. Disk mills; roller mills; dust, confining and expelling from apparatus.-The warm air &c. from the casings of millstones and roller mills for grinding grain &c. is blown or exhausted into the elevator which raises the chop from the mill to the bolt, or direct into the bolt, without the employment of screw conveyers and filters. Fig. 1 shows an exhauster r arranged in the pipe 1 leading from the mill A to the elevator B and bolt C, cool air entering the mill through the inlet o. Or the ventilator may be arranged in a pipe forming a branch of the pipe 1, or in the pipe between the elevator and bolt. Fig. 3 shows the ventilator t arranged in a pipe 3 leading from the outlet o of the mill to the elevator B, an inlet o<1> being provided in the pipe 1; or a blower may force cool air into the mill casing, the expelled warm air passing to the elevator.
