Aerial machines without aerostats; aeroplanes.- Aerial machines having flapping wings b are provided also with fixed or adjustable aeroplanes c disposed on the outer sides of the wings and at a level midway between the extreme positions of the wings. The aeroplanes c are constructed on a frame which tapers in thickness from the base c<1>, to the tip c<2>, and also from the anterior edge to the posterior edge. The anterior edge is preferably curved after the manner of Hargrave's curve in the bird's wing.
