Water, purifying.-Relates to means for discharging reagents in regulated quantities simultaneously with measured quantities of water in apparatus for purifying water for boilers &c. The water is run from a pipe f into a tipping-tank b mounted on trunnions, or on a shaft a, in a tank d with an outlet e. The reagent is placed in a tank g provided with an outlet h closed by a valve on a vertical rod i, loadel at k and raised periodically by a cam on the extension of the shaft a of the tipping-tank. Arrangements are described having several distinct reagent tanks with valves operated by cams on the extensions of the shaft a.
