Abstract

1705. Blanchard, V. W. Jan. 22. Atmospheric gas and vapour burners; vaporizing - apparatus; fuel. reservoirs.- In a stove of the kind described in Specification No. 109, A.D. 1900, [Abridgment Class Stoves &c.], a retort or vaporizer 3 for generating steam or oil vapour is fitted between the mixing-tubes 2<d> and the burner 5 described in Specification No. 1703, A.D. 1907. The oil or the water, or both, are supplied from reservoirs 3<f>, Fig. 9, attached to the sides of the stove, and connected to it by pressure-equalizing pipes 3h. The reservoirs are connected to the retort. 3 by pipes 3<c>, 3<d>, Fig. 1, fitted with regulating- cocks 3<i> and drip-cocks 3<j>; the latter are fitted to enable the amount of liquid supplied to be determined from the amount dripping into the cups 3<k> on the brackets 3<m>. In modifications, the lower end of the cylinder 6 is imperforate, and only one reservoir, for supplying oil, is fitted.
