Abstract

991. Kotz, E. H., [Haendel & Reibisch]. Jan. 14. Sawing.-An adjustable roller guide for a powerdriven back-saw blade consists of two rollers b, between which the saw is passed. The rollers may be mounted in recesses in a block e, having a hollow extension j to receive the blade holder h at the end of the forward stroke so that the stroke is not minimized. The extension is clamped by a screw in a bracket f depending from a stationary guide-bar f<2>, to which it may be fixed in any position by screws f<3>, and which serves to guide the saw through a sleeve u. The block has a handle i to set it at the required angle, and the holes for the roller pins c may extend through the upper part of the block to facilitate lubrication.
