Abstract

Motor road vehicles.-To drive the front and rear pairs of wheels from a longitudinal shaft a, this shaft is arranged below the bottom or second shaft b of the speed-changing gear. The shafts a, b are connected by toothed gearing d,f. This arrangement permits of mounting the shaft a at such a depth that it can extend forward below the motor or fly-wheel m. The shaft a may be divided, the two parts being connected by differential gear to allow differential driving between the front and rear pairs of wheels.
