Screens.-The frame of a fire - screen or the like is constructed with cast or stamped upper and lower portions c, a, Fig. 3, having the handle and feet cast therewith or secured thereon in combination with anglemetal sides e secured by screws or bolts. The glass or other material is preferably kept in position by means of metal strips h at the back of the screen bolted or screwed to spacing-lugs i on the upper and lower portions of the frame. The top and bottom pieces c, a may be of iron plated with brass &c., or, according to the Provisional Specification, of wood &c., and ornamental stampings of brass &c. may be applied to the frame.
