Skates.-In roller skates in which the heel and sole plates B, C are made separately from the frame, the frame is made of two thicknesses a<1>, b<1> of metal in each part. The heel and sole plates are supported on lugs b<3>, a<2>, a<3> turned outwards from the upper sides of the frame. The parts b<2> are spaced apart to accommodate the parts a<1>, adjustment in length being made by nuts e. The axle-boxes are secured to lugs bent out similarly to the lugs a<2> on the lower side of the frame. The frame may be doublesided only in the neighbourhood of the lugs, or one part only may be double-sided.
