Piling.-In a process for making billets from waste metal, such as worn out railway or tramway rails, the rails are cold-sawn into two or more parts A, B, D, Figs. 6 and 8, and these parts are rolled into bars, strips, or sheets, or are used for any purpose in place of billets. Figs. 9 and 10 show shafts made by piling such rolled bars.
