15,854. Veevers, A. July 13. Bottles; stoppers, preventing loss of.-Bottles are formed with receptacles to receive the corks or stoppers while the bottles are being emptied. The receptacles may be integral with the necks of the bottles, as shown at A, Fig. 1 ; or, as in the modification shown in Fig. 2, a clip, provided with a receptacle for the stopper, may be adapted to grip the bottle neck or other suitable part. In the case of metal bottles closed by corks or screw stoppers a duplicate of the top of the neck may be soldered on to any convenient part of the bottle to receive the cork or screw stopper. Specifications No 4041, A.D. 1881, No. 3519, A.D. 1886, and No. 12,938, A.D. 1887, are referred to.
