13,885. Scoccimarro, G. June 18. Cut-outs.-Relates to boxes particularly suitable for 3 or 4 wire distribution. The box and lid are divided into compartments by insulating-pieces, and the lid carries plug contacts adapted to engage contacts on the base, so that, when the lid is raised, the contacts are broken. In the form shown in Figs. 3 and 4, adapted for a three-wire system, the base b is formed with upstanding insulating-ribs f between the supply-lead contact-blocks d, d<1>, d<2>, and also between the distributing-blocks e, e<1>, spacesg being provided for fuses held by nuts i when the lid is not used. The lid j is similarly provided with insulating-ribs, and carries contact-plugs n<1> having nuts o for holding the fuses, the plugs being held by nuts fitting in recesses which may be filled with insulating-material ; or, the lid may be recessed to receive a plate covering all the nuts. The box may be made circular instead of rectangular. The lid and base may be secured by a central bolt k secured to the base by a pin l fitting in a slot m. Fig. 10 shows a circular form adapted for a four-wire system.
