8321. Varley, T. April 6. Winding-machines.-To regulate the tension of the yarn as it is drawn from the unwinding bobbin, it is deflected over a pivoted frame b, which may be weighted or have its effective weight increased by a spring and is provided with stops g which limit its movement in ons or both directions. Normally, the frame is held by the tension of the yarn in a slightly raised position, as shown in Fig. 1, but, when the tension on the yarn diminishes, it falls on to the bobbin and prevents overrunning &c.
