6786. Rausch, W., and Gondolf, H. April 15, 1905, [date applied for under Patents Act, 1901]. Toy engines; toys, driving-mechanism for.-A toy electric motor is constructed in the form of a steam-engine. As applied to an horizontal engine, Fig. 1, the fly-wheel is made of non-magnetic material, and is formed with six magnetic armatures f, which are rotated by means of a horseshoe electro-magnet c, or more than one electro-magnet, arranged in a metal frame b. The current is supplied by dry batteries a arranged in a box designed to represent the bed-plate of an engine. A circuitbreaker d acted on by a spring k is arranged in the circuit of the magnet c, and a switch may also be arranged in the circuit. When the circuit is completed, the magnet c drives the fly-wheel by attracting the armature f. The engine may be made to represent a vertical steam engine.
