Stoppers, screw, bayonet-joint, and like.-Relates to detachable stoppers for vessels having external conical surfaces, particularly for those which, after their primary use as receptacles for condiments or preserves &c., are adapted to serve a secondary purpose, such as for use as drinking-glasses. The invention is illustrated as applied to a tumbler. A conical and preferably screw-threaded ring b is pushed on from the lower end of the tumbler, and adapted to receive a screw cap c. The lower end of the ring may be turned in to receive a packing-ring, and, instead of continuous threads, interrupted threads may be used on the ring and cap.
