Contents, delivering and withdrawing.-In boxes for storing and delivering tooth powder and the like, the partitions separating the larger storing- compartments from smaller compartments are provided with means situated above the level of the box bottoms for allowing portions of the contents to pass through. The partition b, Fig. 2, has one or more apertures b<1>, and one wall of the compartment a<2> may be provided with a notch to receive the handle of a toothbrush. The lid c can slide upon the beads a<3> over the compartment a<1>, and has a smaller lid c' hinged to it. The smaller lid may be dispensed with and both lids may be separately hinged or arranged to slide; the Provisional Specification states also that one spring- controlled lid may slide upon the other. In the form shown in Figs. 7 and 8, the powder cannot be shaken into the compartment a<2> till apertures e' in the slide e are brought into coincidence with the apertures b<1> by opening the lid c<2>. A horizontally-moving slide may be used as shown in Fig. 10. In another form, a tray with an apertured partition slides in an outer shell, provided with a stop to limit the motion. Slits or notches in the edges of the partitions may be substituted for the apertures.
