Lenses; telescopes.-Fig. 1 shows an objective of the tele-photo type for which the usual constructional data and optical constants are given at length in the Specification, in which (1) each of the two components is made up of at least two lenses; (2) components is, made up of at least,two lenses ; (2) the concave faces of the components are placed opposite to one another ; and (3) the focal length of the negative component is made equal to or less than that of the positive component. The positive component may be used by itself. The system described may be applied to telescopes, especially those of the prismatic type.
