Abstract

608,584. Optical systems. KODAK, Ltd. Jan. 29, 1945, No. 2255. Convention date, Nov. 20, 1943. [Class 97 (i)] An objective, particularly for use as a relay lens in a sighting instrument such as that disclosed in Specification 608,586, comprises two halves spaced apart an effective distance between .04 F and F, where F is the focal length of the combination, each half consisting of a biconvex component separated from a biconcave component by a distance between .02f and f, where f is the focal length of the half, the radii R3, R6 of the biconcave components being between .08 and .5 of the radii R4, R5. The negative components or all components may be doublets. Data are given for eight examples.
