Abstract

Search-lights; lighthouse lamps.-In lighthouse lamps, search-lights, and the like for projecting a parallel beam of white light, a number of internallyreflecting Fresnel rings k are disposed in front of an electric arc or other suitable source of light and are sufficiently overlapped to prevent conical beams of light from being projected between them from any part of the source of light. A central lens g may be arranged in the part which is in the shadow of the carbon m. The body part n of the lamp may be arranged below the projecting-rings, or the size of the apparatus and the length of the carboncarriers p, q may be reduced by arranging the body part n within the periphery of the projecting-rings as shown.
